Through its pastoral care ministries, Resurrection shares the love of Christ beyond our church walls with parishioners and friends. In prayer, support, and service, we share the good news of Christ’s life and love with those who celebrate, grieve, and seek healing.
Volunteers are needed in all areas, regularly or on occasion. Please contact the vestry liaison for Pastoral Care.
Eucharistic Visitors
These licensed lay ministers bless the home-bound by sharing the sacrament of Holy Communion from Sunday Eucharist with them twice a month. To share in the sacred ministry, please contact the Rector.
Primetimers
Our senior adult ministry gathers four times a year for lunch, fellowship, and a program. Watch for announcements in the Rafters if you are interested in attending.
Casserole Ministry
These tangible symbols of our prayerful support are kept in the church freezer to be delivered to our members in need. Volunteers are always needed to help prepare these dishes and deliver them. Please contact Kathy Collins, vestry liaison, katcollins@embarqmail.com or 229-6993, to volunteer to prepare or deliver food.
Ministry to New Parents
We pray for those welcoming children into the world and then deliver a meal after the birth. Volunteers are needed and welcomed. Contact Jane Merrill, janehmerrill@gmail.com or 547-1165.
Daughters of the King, St. Margaret’s Chapter
The mission of the DoK is the extension of Christ’s Kingdom through prayer and service. The group participates in Bible study or devotional programs each Tuesday at 4:00 pm. They compile prayer lists at the quarterly meetings and pray daily for the concerns of our parishioners. Assisted by the Parish Visitors, frequent visits are made to those unable to attend church services. The Daughters also host a reception preceding or following a funeral. The Daughters prayerfully seek new members.
Parish Visitors
Our visitors’ mission is to extend the ministry of our church through contact and visitation to those parishioners unable to attend church services.
Telecare and Card Ministry
We seek to be in touch with our members, whether we are celebrating an event, offering prayers, or expressing sympathy. Please notify Denise Brown at the church office when parishioners are in need.
